Nurture Within Midwifery

Welcome to your childbirth journey

Whether this is your first or your fifth pregnancy, individualised care throughout your childbearing year and informed decision making that supports you in making choices that are right for your family/whanau are important for an empowered experience.

I am a New Zealand trained and registered midwife with an holistic philosophy and have been working here in Buller for the last 9 years. I have a passion for home birth and am currently taking a small caseload for women choosing primary birthing options, either at home or at Te Rau Kawakawa in Westport.

I have been a IBCLC lactation consultant for 5 years and combine this knowledge, free of charge, within my midwifery postnatal care, supporting the mother and baby dyad to achieve their breastfeeding goals. Additionally, I have 25 years experience in a range of body work and natural therapies and combine these, when indicated, to support the body's physiological transition during childbearing.
